Small Doily

Comments: Do not be afraid for the complexity of stitches and their combination in last rows. Try the stitches on a simple row of scs before starting the doily and if you still do not feel confident, try crocheting the doily with a thicker size, like a bedspread weight thread. The results can be gratifying, a different-than-usual pineapple doily.

Size : 17 cm ( 6 2/3 inches) diameter

Material: Pearl cotton # 8, hook 1.25 mm (US steel 10 #); you can substitute with Cebelia #20 or equivalent ecosse or cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); Please visit my Virtual Store if you need materials.

Stitches (for reference look at my stitches page):

ch, sc, dc, tr,
dc cluster = dcl = 3 dc worked in same sp and closed together
Dc Shell =dcsh = (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in same sp/st
Tr Shell = trsh = (2 tr, 2 ch, 2 tr) in same sp/st
Dc decrement = dcdec = dc not closed in first st, dc not closed in second st, close the two dcs together.
Picot = 3 ch, sc in first ch.

Difficulty: medium.
