This is a Photo of the Set

Comments: This bag is easier and faster than the zipped one, and it is coordinated with the ribbon bandana; if you cannot find the ribbon yarn, you can use a bulky cotton yarn and adjust the gauge. This bag has no ties, but two belt-holes, to take it tied to your bely. Furthermore, it id closed with a crocheted button, but it will be more pratical if you sew a velcro strip on it.

Size : 5 x 7 inches (13 x 18 cm) closed

Material :Cotton Yarn Ribbon (we call it "fettuccia", but I could not find an English translation in my vocabulary), color black, hook 5 (US H); a piece of fabric for lining, a button or a velcro strip: you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :dc, sc, ch, xst =X stitch = sk a dc, dc in next dc, dc in skipped dc, leavingr the first dc on the back

Difficulty: medium (a little experience in sewing is required, if you want the bag has a good appearance!)

Directions

Start with 28 ch.

1. 1 ch, sc in second ch from hook and all remaining chs; 1 ch, turn

2. sc in ea sc; 3 ch, turn.

3. dc in ea st. 3 ch, turn

4. (Xst on next 2 dc) 14 times; 3 ch, turn

5-20 Repeat Rows 3 and 4

21 sc on ea st; 1 ch, turn

22 sc evenly distributed all around, crochet 3 sc in corners.

Fold the rectangle like shown in following picture, leaving a 3" piece for the opening front

Sew on the back the 5" sides

This is an image of the bag opened, this can help you

Buttonhole: Join in 12th sc on A side (look at the picture), 8 ch, sk 3 sc , sl st in next sc, turn, 1 ch, 10 sc in lp, sl st in first st. You can easily crochet a button (I will put detailed explanations on my soon-to arrive-FAQ) or if you prefer you can buy it. You can also crochet a velcro strip at the top of A side, on the back, and on the top of 7 inches side on the front. In this case, of course, you do not have to crochet the button hole.

BeltHoles (make 2)

Start with 8 sc;

1. 1 ch, sc in second ch from hook and all remaining chs; 1 ch, turn

2. sc in ea sc; 3 ch, turn.

3. sc in ea st. Cut

Sew this rectangles on the back of bag, like in the following picture:

(S= sewn sides)

Alternativately, you can crochet ties like those of zipped bag.

Linen the bag, fix all the ends.
