Comments: Another nice pothoder in brilliant color; you can coordinate it with Ruffle Potholder , perhaps using colors according to your kitchen.

Size : 22 cm (8 1/2 ")

Material : Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn ( we call it "Poor Cotton", but a yarn like "Sugar&Cream should be good), color A= Red, B= Dark Yellow, Hook no.4 (US=G/6);you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr

Difficulty: easy/medium

Start with A, 8 ch, join;

1. 20 dc in lp; join with sl st to first st.

2. sc on ea dc; join with sl st to first st.

3.*dc on next dc, 2 dc on next dc*; Repeat * to * 10 times, join with sl st to first st. => 30 dc

4.sc on ea dc; join with sl st to first st.

5.*dc on next dc, 2 dc on next dc*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st. => 45 dc

6.sc on ea dc; join with sl st to first st.

7.*(dc on next dc) 2 times, 2 dc on next dc*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st. => 60 dc

8.sc on ea dc; join with sl st to first st.

9.*(dc on next dc) 3 times, 2 dc on next dc*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st. => 75 dc

10. sc on ea dc; join with sl st to first st. Join B

11.B: *( 3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in next sc, 1 ch, sk 4 dc*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st.

12.*( 3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in next 2-ch sp, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st.Join A.

13.A: *(sc in next dc) 3 times, 2 sc in next sp, (sc on next dc) 3 times, sc in next lp taking with the hook also the 1-ch lp in Row 11*; Repeat * to * 15 times, join with sl st to first st.Cut.

Flower

Start with 10 ch, join

1. 20 sc in sp , join with sl st to first st.

2. *sc in next sc, 5 ch, tr not closed in same sc, (tr not closed in next sc) 3 times, close tr together, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 5 times, join with sl st to first st. Cut thread.

Sew flower to pot on the center.

N.B.

• Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
  • first sc with 1 ch, sc;
  • first hdc with 2 ch;
  • first dc with 3 ch;
  • first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
