SIMPLICITY
Small Doily
Comments: The name says it all: very simple design for a classical look. You can make it bigger continuing to crochet shells and v-stitches after Row 9 (of course you must add elements, and/or incrementing chain numer between, to enlarge the doily); this is also a good exercise in starting modifying patterns, and this is first step in learning disegn ; of course, you need also a little bit of creativity, but every crocheter is full of creativity!
Size :5 1/2" (14 cm.) diameter
Material :Pearl cotton # 8, hook 1.25 mm (Bates steel #9), color white; you can substitute with Cebelia #20 or equivalent cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.
