Comments: Like Glaze Ice, this motif can be used as an insertion for a curtain (see the comments on that pattern);it is also a good motif for an old-time looking bedspread
Size :13 centimeters (5 1/2 inches)
Material :Pearl cotton # 5, hook 1.9 mm (Boye steel#5), dark yellow; a plastic ring about 2 cm. (3/4") diameter; you can substitute with Cebelia #5 or equivalent cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Directions
Join thread in the plastic ring
1. 32 sc in the ring; join with sl st to first st.
2. *(dc on next dc) 3 times, sk a dc*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.
3. *sc in next sp, 20 ch, sl st in 17th ch from hook, 3 ch *; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.
4. sc in next sc, ( 16 dc, 3 ch, 16 dc) in first loop, *sc on next sc, ( dc , sl st in last dc of previous loop, dc, sl st in next-to-last dc of previous loop, 14 dc, 3 ch, 16 dc ) in next loop *; Repeat * to * 6 times, ; sc on next sc, (dc, sl st in last dc of previous loop, dc, sl st in next-to-last dc of previous loop, 14 dc, 3 ch, 15 dc sl st in 2n dc of first loop, dc, sl st in first dc of first loop) in last loop. Join with sl st to first sc. Cut thread.
5. Join thread in 3-ch loop, *(3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in 3-ch loop, 6 ch, yo twice, insert hook in the center of 16-dc grp on the left of same loop, draw one, yo, draw two, yo, insert hook on the center of 16-dc grp on the right side of next loop, draw one , yo, (draw two) 4 times; 2 ch, dc on the two closed dc (you will obtain 2 crossed stitches) 6 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st. Cut thread, weave in ends.
