Comments: This small item can be used in many ways: an ornament to apply on a blouse, or to fasten a precious gift, or as an ornament for your Christmas Tree (try to make it in Sparkling Lurex); a motif to create strips that will be used, for example on antiques bookcases or buffets; a motif for creating precious bedpspread; a coaster (work it with yarn cotton). Tip: if you want to use it as a motif, join in two adjacent picots while doing last row
Size : 4 inches (10 centimeters) diameter
Material :Pearl cotton # 5, hook 1.7 mm (Boye steel#7),red; you can substitute with Cebelia #10 or equivalent cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.
Stitches : ch, sc, hdc, dc, picot =3 ch, sc in last st made

Directions
Start with 14 ch, join with sl st in first ch
1. 3 ch, 35 dc in lp; join with sl st to initial 3rd ch.
2. *sc in ea dc*; Repeat from * to * 36 times ; join with sl st in first st.
3. 1 ch, sc in sc, 14 ch, turn ,(sc, hdc, 5 dc, picot, 18 dc, hdc) on 14 ch just made (make 2 st for ea ch, starting from 2nd ch from hk), sl st in starting sc, sk 2 sc, *sc in next st, 14 ch, sl st in 10th dc (starting from bottom) of prev petal , turn, (sc, hdc, 5 dc, picot, 18 dc, hdc) in 10-ch loop, sl st in starting sc, sk 2 sc* Repeat * to * 10 times more, finish last petal, turn, 11 sl st on petal to reach 10th dc, sl st in tip sc of first petal. Cut, weave in.
