Comments: The "regulars" of my site know how much I like pineapples! Here it is another version, for a coaster or a bomboniera doily.

Size :13 cm (5")

Material :Cebelia 20, color white, hook 1.25 (US 10); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials..

Stitches :ch,sl st, sc, dc,tr

Difficulty:medium

Start with 8 ch, join with sl st

1. *2 dc in lp, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

2. *(dc on next dc) twice, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

3. *(dc on next dc) twice, (3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in next sp*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

4. sl st in 2-ch lp, *(2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in 2-ch lp, sk 2 dc, (dc on next dc) 4 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

5. *6 tr in 2-ch lp, 2 ch, (dc on next dc) 4 times, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

6. *(dc on next tr, ch) 5 times, dc in last tr, 2 ch, (dc on next dc) 4 times, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

7.*(sc in next lp, 3 ch) 5 times, (dc in next dc) 4 times, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

8.*(sc in next lp, 3 ch) 4 times, (dc in next dc) 4 times, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

9. *(sc iun next lp, 3 ch) twice, sc in last lp, 2 dc in next lp, (dc on next dc) 4 times, 2 dc in next sp, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

10. *(sc in next sp, 3 ch) twice, 2 dc in next sp, (dc in next dc) twice, 5 ch, sk 4 dc, (dc in next dc) twice, 2 dc in next sp, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

11.*sc in next sp, 5 ch, 2 dc in next sp, (dc in next dc)twice, sk 2 dc, 5 ch, sc in 5-ch sp, sk 2 dc, (dc in next dc) twice, 2 dc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st. Cut thread, weave in ends

N.B.

• Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
  • first sc with 1 ch, sc;
  • first hdc with 2 ch;
  • first dc with 3 ch;
  • first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
