Comments: No particular difficulty in this small doily, apart the border, where you must turn the doily to make the "knots".

Size :7" (17 cm.) diameter

Material :Pearl cotton # 8, hook 1.15 mm (Boye steel #11), color variegated blue; you can substitute with Cebelia #20 or equivalent cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :ch, sl st, sc, dc,tr, trc= tr cluster = 3 tr worked and closed together in same sp, dcl = dc cluster = 4 dc worked and closed together in same st

Difficulty:medium

Start with 8 ch, join

1. 16 sc in lp; join with sl st to first st.

2.*dc in next sc, 1 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

3.*sc in next sp, 4 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

4.*sc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

5.*sc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

6.*sc in next sp, 6 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

7. *( 2 tr, 2 ch, 2 tr) in next sp, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

8.*dc in next sp, 4 ch*; Repeat * to * 32 times; join with sl st to first st.

9.*sc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 32 times; join with sl st to first st.

10.*sc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 32 times; join with sl st to first st.

11.*sc in next sp, 4 ch, 4-dc cluster in next sp, 1 ch, turn doily, sc on cluster, 4 ch, turn doily, (trc, 2 ch, trc, 2 ch, trc) on the dcl , 4 ch *; Repeat * to * 16 times; join with sl st to first st.

N.B.

• Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
  • first sc with 1 ch, sc;
  • first hdc with 2 ch;
  • first dc with 3 ch;
  • first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
