Comments: A classic look doily, very lacy; it has no particular difficulties, apart perhaps the third row.

Size :11" (28 cm.) diameter

Material :Pearl cotton # 5, hook 1.6 mm (Boye steel #7) ; you can substitute with bedspread size thread or equivalent (but the gauge can slightly vary) you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :ch, sl st, sc, dc,tr, picot= 4 ch, sl st in first ch

Difficulty:medium

Start with 6 ch, join with sl st to first ch.

1. 24 dc in lp, join with sl st to first st.

2. *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc*; Repeat * to * 12 times, join with sl st to first st. =>36 dc

3. *19 ch, dc in 9th ch from hk, dc in next ch, [2 ch, sk 2 ch, (dc in next ch)2 times]2 times; sk 2 dc, (sl st in next dc) 2 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st. Cut thread.

4. Join thread in a top loop of petals, *5 sc in next lp, 11 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

5.*dc on next dc, 1 ch, (sk 1 sc, dc in next sc , 1 ch) 2 times, (sk 1 ch, dc in next ch, 1 ch)5 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

6. *dc on next ch, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

7. *dc on next dc, 2 ch, dc on next dc, 2 dc in next sp, (dc on next dc, 2 ch) 6 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

8.*dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc, 4 ch, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, (dc in next dc, 2 ch) 5 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

9. *dc on next dc, 4 ch, sk 3 dc, dc in next sp, 4 ch, sk 3 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, (dc in next dc, 2 ch) 3 times*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

10. make 3 sl st back to first dc of grp, *dc on dc, 4 ch, (dc on next sp, 4 ch) 2 times, sk 3 dc, dc on next dc , 2 dc in next sp, dc on next dc, 3 ch, dc on next dc, 2 dc in next sp*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

11.make 3 sl st back to first dc of grp, *dc on dc, 4 ch, (dc on next sp, 4 ch) 3 times, , dc on next dc , 2 dc in next sp*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join with sl st to first st.

12. *dc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * all around, finish with 3 ch, dc on first dc.

13. *dc in next sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * all around, finish with 3 ch, dc on first dc.

14.*sc on next dc, 10 ch, triple treble on next dc, 10 ch*; Repeat * to * 16 times, join with sl st to first st.

15. *12 sc in next sp , (sc, picot, sc) on trtr, 12 sc in next sp*; Repeat * to * 16 times, join with sl st to first st.

N.B.

• Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
  • first sc with 1 ch, sc;
  • first hdc with 2 ch;
  • first dc with 3 ch;
  • first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
