Comments: This is a bulky square, and I think it can be suitable for a "Him Afghan".

Size : 18 cm = 7 inches

Material : Worsted Weight Yarn, colors A=beige, B=black , Hook no.4.5(US=G/6)you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :ch, sl st, sc, dc

Difficulty: easy

Directions

Start with A, 6 ch , join in first ch.

1. *3 dc in lp, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st in starting st;

2. *(dc on next dc) 3 times, (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) = corner in next sp*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st in starting st;

3. *(dc on next dc) 7 times, corner in corner*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st in starting st;

4. *(dc on next dc) 11 times, corner in corner*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st in starting st;

5.*(dc on next dc) 15 times, corner in corner*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st in starting st. Cut A.

6. Join B in a corner sp of Round 3, *6 ch, join in same sp, 12 sc in lp, join in sp. * Cut and repeat * to * in all corners.

7. With B, *sc on ea side dc of Row 5; in corner sp sc on sp, sc taking also the top sc of loop done in Round 6 (look at Photo if you are confused), sc on sp*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join A with sl st in starting st.

8. sc in ea sc, 3 sc in corner sc. Cut, weave in ends.

N.B.

Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
- first sc with 1 ch, sc;
- first hdc with 2 ch;
- first dc with 3 ch;
- first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
