Size : 15 1/2 cm = 6 inches

Material : Worsted Weight Yarn, Hook no.4.5 (US=G/7);you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Special Stitches :

flower stitch (worked on three base stitches)=yo, insert hk in back lp of first st, yo, draw through a lp, yo, insert hk in back loop of second stitch, yo, draw through a lp, yo, insert hk in bl of third stitch, yo, draw through a lp, yo, draw through remaining lps

Difficulty: average

Directions

Start with 23 ch + 2 ch for turning

1.hdc in 3rd ch and in ea rem ch; 2 ch, turn

2.flower st in first three hdc, 1ch, *flower st in last st worked and next two stitches, 1 ch*; repeat * to * an all row, finish with a dc in last st; 1 ch, turn

3. *2 hdc in next flower stitch, sk a ch*; repeat * to * an all row, finish with hdc in last st; 2 ch, turn

4-11. Repeat Rows 2-3. At the end of Row 11, leave only 1 ch for turning.

12. hdc in ea st; start to crochet border

Border

Make uniformly distributed scs on vertical sides, sc in ea sc in top side, sc in ea starting chain in bottom side. Join with sl st to first sc. Cut thread, weave in ends.

N.B.

Substitute ever (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:

first sc with 1 ch, sc;
first hdc with 2 ch;
first dc with 3 ch;
first tr with 4 ch...and so on;

When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
