Comments: A very simple square with a little bit of jacquard technique; an afghan all composed with these squares will be full of red balls!

Size : 17 cm = 6 1/2 inches

Material : Worsted Weight Yarn, colors A=light green, B=white, C=red, Hook no.4 (US=G/6)you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches :ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr

Directions

Start with A, 7 ch , join in first ch.

1.12 sc in sp, join with sl st to first st

2.*(sc in next sc) 2 times, 2 sc in next sc*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st.

3.*5 tr in next sc, sc in next sc, 4 ch, tr in next sc, 4 ch, sc in next sc*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st. Join B

4.*sc in 3rd tr of 5-tr group, 5 tr in next sc, sc in next tr, 5 tr in next sc*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st.

5.*dc in next sc, (dc in next tr) 5 times, join C, 5 dc in next sc, join B , (dc in next tr) 5 times, join B*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st.

6.* (dc in next dc) 5 times, join C, (dc in next dc) 3 times, 3 dc in next dc, (dc in next dc) 3 times, join B, (dc in next dc) 4 times*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st.

7.*(sc in next dc) 4 times, join C, (sc in next dc) 4 times, 3 sc in corner dc, (sc in next dc) 5 times, join B, (sc in next dc) 4 times*; Repeat * to * 4 times, join with sl st to first st. Cut yarn, weave in ends.

N.B. Take the color you are not using behind the one you are using, i.e. taking it in the stitches. To obtain more homogeneity in changing colors, close the last st of a color with the other color.
