Pinky Yarn Doily

Comments: This pattern is for all the yarn crocheters who asked me for "yarn doilies". It is not a doily , but it is unusually lace for being a yarn item while being very easy also for a beginner. And I hope this encourage you to start with thread and crochet a real lacy doily!

Material : Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn ( we call it "Poor Cotton", but a yarn like "Sugar&Cream should be good), color pink, Hook no.4 (US=G/6)

1.1 ch, 16 sc in lp;

2. 1 ch, *sc on next sc, 11 ch, sc on next sp*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st; cut yarn.

3. Join yarn in 6th ch of a lp, * sc in center of 11-ch sp, 4 ch*; Repeat * to * 8 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

4.*sc in next sp, 5 ch, sc in same sp, 3 ch*Repeat * to * 8 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

5. * 5 dc in 5-ch sp, 2 ch, sc in 3-ch sp, 2 ch*;Repeat * to * 8 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

6. *(dc not closed in next dc)4 times, dc not closed in 5th dc of grp, close all dcs together, 4 ch, dc not closed in next sp, dc not closed in next sp, close together the tawo dcs, 4 ch*;Repeat * to * 8 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

7.*sc in next 4-ch sp, 6 ch*;Repeat * to * 16 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

8. *tr on sc, 7 ch*;Repeat * to * 16 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st;

9. * in next 7-ch sp work (sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc)*; Repeat * to * 16 times, join yarn with sl st in starting st; cut yarn, weave in ends.
