This is a revisitation of a classic design...of course, ananas means pineapples!

Material: Pearl cotton # 8, hook 1.15 mm (Boye steel #11); you can substitute with Cebelia #20 or equivalent cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary)
Stitches : ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr, sh=shell = (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) worked in the same space.
Difficulty: medium.
Directions
First part
Start with 10 ch, join with sl st
1. 20 dc in lp; join with sl st to first st.
2. ch 3 (= first dc), dc in the same dc, *ch 2, sk 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc;* Repeat * to * 8 times more, ch 2, join with sl st to first st.
3. sl st in first sp, ch 3 ,(dc, 2ch, 2 dc) in same sp, *3 ch, shell in next sp*; Repeat all around, ch 3, join with sl st to first st.
4. sl st in first sp,ch 3 ,(dc, 5ch, 2 dc) in same sp,* 4 ch, shell in shell, 4 ch, (2 dc, 5 ch, 2 dc) in next sp*; Repeat all around, ch4, join with sl st to first st.
5. sl st in first 5-ch sp,ch4 (=tr), 10 tr in same sp,* 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, 11 tr in next sp*; Repeat all around, 3 ch, join with sl st to first st.=>5 tr-groups.
6. 5 ch (=tr+ch)in first tr, tr in next tr,(1 ch, tr in next tr) 9times,* 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, tr in next tr, (1 ch, tr in next tr) 10 times*; Repeat all around, 3 ch, join with sl st to first st
7. sl st in first 1-ch sp,sc in same sp,* (3 ch, sc in next 1-ch sp) 9 times, 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, sc in next 1-ch sp*; Repeat all around, 3 ch, join with sl st to first st.
8. (3 ch, sc in next sp )8 times; *3 ch, shell in shell, (3 ch, sc in next sp) 9 times*; Repeat all around, 3 ch, join with sl st to first st. Cut thread.
Work separately in rows each of the 5 pineapple points in this way:
1. Join Thread to 2-ch sp of next shell in 8th Round, 3 ch; shell in same sp; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 8 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
2. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 7 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
3. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 6 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
4. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 5 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
5. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 4 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
6. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) 3 times; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
7. shell in shell; (3 ch, sc in next sp) twice; 3 ch, shell in shell, 3 ch, turn;
8. shell in shell (= shell1), 4 ch, sc in next lp, 4 ch, 2 dc in next shell (=shell2), 1 ch, sl st back in 2-ch sp of shell on shell1; 1 ch , 2 dc in sp on shell2. Cut thread
Join thread in sp of next shell in 8th Round and repeat Rows 1-8. Do the same for the remaining three points. Cut thread and sew ends.
