Simple 8" square with a "post modern" (!) look.
Size : 19 cm (8 inches)
Material : Worsted Weight yarn, in colors : dark blue(A), light blue (B), white(C); hook 4.5 mm (U.S. G).
Stitches : ch, sl st, sc, tr
Difficulty: easy.
Directions
Start with 10 ch with color A, join
1. 11 ch (= tr + 7 ch), (4 tr in lp, 7 ch) 3 times, 3 tr. join with sl st in first st =>32 tr.
2. 3 sl st, turn square ; Working over tr and over chains, *(sc in next st)10 times, sk 1 st *. Repeat * to * 3 times again; join with sl st in first st, switching to B. =>40 sc.
3. turn square ,11 ch (= tr + 7 ch), * 2 tr in next sc, (tr in next sc)8 times, 2 tr in next sc, 7 ch*;Repeat * to * twice again; 2 tr in next sc, (tr in next sc) 9 times, join with sl st in first st..
4. 3 sl st, turn square ; Working over tr and over chains, *(sc in next st)18 times, sk 1 st *. Repeat * to * 3 times again; join with sl st in first st, switching to C. =>72 sc.
5.turn Square ,11 ch (= tr + 7 ch), * 2 tr in next sc, (tr in next sc)16 times, 2 tr in next sc, 7 ch*;Repeat * to * twice again; 2 tr in next sc, (tr in next sc) 17 times, join with sl st in first st., switching to A.
6. sc in ea tr around, doing 40 sc in ea 7-ch spaces at corners. Cut yarn, weave in ends.
