Size : 18 cm (7 inches)

Material : Worsted Weight yarn, in colors : white (A),peach (B), green (C), hook 4.5 mm (US G).

Stitches : ch, sl st, sc, dc, cluster=2 dc closed together in same sp.

Difficulty: easy.

Directions

Start with A, 7 ch, join with a sl st in first one

1. 3 ch, dc in lp, 2 ch, (cluster, 2 ch) 11 times in lp. sl st in 3rd ch .=>12 clusters.

2.1 ch, *sc in next sp, 9 ch, sc in same sp, 5 ch, sc in next sp, 5 ch*. Repeat * to * 3 times again substituting last 5 ch with 2 ch, dc in first sc. Change to B. =>12 sps

3. ch, sc,*(7 dc, 3 ch, 7 dc) in 9 ch sp, sc in next 5-ch sp, 5 ch, sc in next 5-ch sp. Repeat * to * 3 times again substituting last 5 ch with 2 ch, dc in first sc. Change to C.

4. 4 ch, tr in same sp, 7 ch, *(sc, 4 ch, sc) in next 3-ch sp (corner), 7 ch, 3 tr in next 5-ch sp, 7 ch*. Repeat *to * twice again, finish with (sc, 4 ch, sc) in next 3-ch sp,7 ch, tr in next 5-ch sp, join with sl st in 4th ch.

5. 7 sc in ea. 7-ch sp, sc in ea. tr, 4 sc in ea. corner sp; join with sl st in first st, changing to A.

6. sc in ea. st and sp around, doing 3 sc in ea. corner sc . Cut yarn, weave in ends.

N.B.

• Always substitute (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
• first sc with 1 ch, sc;
• first hdc with 2 ch;
• first dc with 3 ch;
• first tr with 4 ch...and so on
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
