Size : 16 cm (6 inches)

Material : Worsted Weight yarn, in colors : light yellow (A), peach (B), green (C), hook 4.5 mm ( G).

Stitches : ch, sl st, sc, dc, cluster=3 dc closed together in same sp.

Difficulty: easy.

Directions

1. 5 ch, (dc, ch) 11 times in 5th ch from hook. sl st in 4th ch , switching to B.=>12 dc

2. sl st to first sp, 3 ch, 2 dc closed together in same sp, 3 ch,*cluster in next sp, 3 ch*. Repeat * to * 10 times again; join with sl st in first st, switching to C.=>12 clusters

3. sl st to first sp, sc in sp, * 5 ch, sc in next sp*. Repeat * to * 10 times again finishing with 2 ch, dc in first sc.

4. 1 ch, sc in body of last dc made in round 3, * 5 ch. sc in next sp, ch. (5 dc, 3 ch, 5 dc) in next sp (corner), ch, sc in next sp*; Repeat * to * 3 times again; join with sl st in first st, changing to A.

5. 3 ch, * 5 dc in next sp, dc in sc, ch, dc in next 5 dc, (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in corner sp, dc in next 5 dc, ch, dc in next sc*; Repeat * to * 3 times again; join with sl st in first st, changing to C.

6. sc in ea st and sp around, doing 3 sc in ea 3-ch spaces at corners. Cut yarn, weave in ends.

N.B.

• Always substitute (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
• first sc with 1 ch, sc;
• first hdc with 2 ch;
• first dc with 3 ch;
• first tr with 4 ch...and so on
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
